About Telangana State Centre, IEI

In 1956 as a result of State re-organization, Andhra Pradesh State was formed by merging Hyderabad with Andhra. Since then the Hyderabad State Centre was known as the Andhra Pradesh State Centre. The AP State Centre has been one of the active Centres of The Institution of Engineers (India) which is successfully translating the objectives and ideals of IEI into practice and in recognition, it has been honoured ten times with the Best State Centre Award since inception of the award in 2000.

The Telangana State Centre, located at Hyderabad, has been formed after bifurcation of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh State Centre since its inception in August 28, 2016.

The Telangana State Centre in its jurisdiction has two Local Centres, namely, viz. Ramagundam and Warangal Local Centres. The 2 nd , 15 th and 29 th Indian Engineering Congress were organized at Hyderabad in the year 1988, 2000 and 2014 respectively.
